The proximity to the queen city, a major international airport, the mild climate and the presence of 520 miles of beautiful shoreline makes the LakeNorman area one of the most sought after areas to work, live and play in the country.
LakeNorman is the largest body of fresh water in North Carolina. It was created by the damming of the Catawba River around 1967 and it takes its name from Norman Atwater Cocke, former president of Duke Power, the company that created the lake.

The biggest attraction, however, is the community atmosphere of the area, which can be felt when walking down the tree-lined streets of Davidson, sipping a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop in Cornelius, or while dining and listening to live music at BirkdaleVillage in Huntersville.
